The Santa Barbara County Public Health Department has extended its indoor mask mandate. The “temporary” mandate began in August and was set to expire in September. It’s been extended twice since then. Officials say the county’s case rate should be 6 cases per 100,000 or lower for two straight weeks in order for the mandate to be lifted.
