Inflation Hitting Central Coast Food Banks

Inflation is taking a toll on almost everyone. It gets worse if you’re food insecure. Here on the Central Coast, local food banks are struggling to meet demand. According to KSBY, Food banks have already seen an increase in demand because of the pandemic. Now, the rising cost of produce and other consumer goods is also affecting food distribution to those in need. SLO Foodbank officials say they will have distributed more than 4 million pounds of food by the end of this year.
