SLO Suppervisors To Decide Between Two Redistricting Maps

The San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors is focusing on two redistricting maps. Following public comment on Friday, the supervisors decided they would choose between two maps. A map referred to as “Plan A” would basically keep district lines the way they are. A second map drawn up by Arroyo Grande resident Richard Patten would put the city of San Luis Obispo in one district. According to the Tribune, San Luis Obispo has not been represented by one supervisor over the last 30 years. The next redistricting hearing will be Tuesday, November 30th with a final decision coming next month.
