The man charged with gunning down a soldier on leave in Lompoc will stand trial. The shooting happened in 2019. Authorities say 28-year-old Walter Morales shot and killed Marlon Brumfield. He was visiting family while on leave from the military. Morales was arrested in July 2020. He’ll be arraigned on January 11th.
