The Omicron variant of COVID-19 has made its way to the Central Coast. According to a press release from the County Public Health Department, the first Omicron COVID-19 case in a San Luis Obispo County resident has been detected. Officials also announced three more San Luis Obispo County Residents had died due to COVID-19. They were between the ages of 30 and 70.
