San Luis Obispo County D.A. Dan Dow has sent a letter to Governor Gavin Newsom, asking him to reverse a decision, granting parole suitability to one of the men convicted of killing a Santa Maria teen. Eight years ago, Jason Greenwell pleaded guilty to his involvement in the murder of 15-year-old Dystiny Myers. He was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 15 years. In his letter to the governor, Dow wrote that Greenwell has only served 11 years for this horrific crime. Newsom’s decision is due on April 17th.
