Santa Barbara County Fire is mourning one of their own. Officials say a weekend skiing accident at China Peak took the life of 33-year-old Joseph De Anda, of San Luis Obispo. According to KSBY, Investigators are working to determine what factors may have played a role in the accident. De Anda worked for more than ten years in emergency medical care. In that time, he worked as a paramedic, public safety dispatcher, and flight paramedic. n January 2020 he started as a firefighter/paramedic for Santa Barbara County Fire.
