The San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors has a new chair to lead its meetings. With a 4 to 1 vote, the board elected Bruce Gibson to the chair position. The Board of Supervisors chair keeps proceedings on track by mediating discussions, and giving staff direction. According to the Tribune, board members rotate into the chair position on an annual basis.
