Two more San Luis Obispo County residents have died due to COVID-19. That’s according to yesterday’s report from the County Health Department. Both patients were in the 50 to 69 age group. Health officials also reported 1,121 new COVID cases since Saturday. 75 percent of the cases in the county are omicron and about 25% are delta. County Health Officer Dr. Penny Borenstein asked residents to get vaccinated and boosted, mask up in indoor public places and stay home if they’re sick and get tested.
