Grover Beach Police Nab Suspected Arsonist

A Grover Beach man is behind bars this morning suspected of starting a fire behind a paint store. Police and the Five Cities Fire Authority responded to a report of a commercial fire at the Sherwin-Williams on West Grand Avenue late Saturday night. Firefighters kept the flames from damaging the store’s interior. Police caught up with 23-year-old Raymond Reyes a short time later. According to a press release, he had a torch lighter and remnants of paint on him. His bail has been set at 250,000 dollars.
