Six environmental and community groups want to jump into the legal battle of banning off-roading at the Oceano Dunes. According to the Tribune, the Center for Biological Diversity, Northern Chumash Tribal Council, Oceano Beach Community Association, San Luis Obispo Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, San Luis Obispo Coastkeeper, and the Santa Lucia Chapter of the Sierra Club — filed a motion to intervene. The group wants to help the Coastal Commission defend its decision to ban off-roading by 2024.
