Construction of a much-anticipated overpass in San Luis Obispo is scheduled to begin in 2025. City officials say funding for the proposed Prado Road interchange project has mostly been secured. According to the Tribune, 26 million dollars has been secured from the city, the county, and a major housing project. That leaves a 33.4 million dollar budget gap. City officials hope to fill the gap with state and federal funding. If the project begins on time, it should be completed by 2028.
