COIVD-19 Death Rate Rises As Active Case Numbers Decline

Despite a steady decline in reported cases of COVID-19, San Luis Obispo County Health officials say 17 more people have died as a result of the virus. Officials say the deaths are related to the winter surge that swept across the nation, adding that SLO County numbers are similar to what is happening across the country. Just a month ago the 14-day case average was 339. That average has dropped to 46.
