San Luis Obispo County Health officials are keeping an eye on the omicron BA.2 strain. They also reported nine new COVID-19 deaths in the county in the past week. The people who died were in their 60’s to 90’s. Only two people have been hospitalized with one in ICU. The good news is hospitalizations and new cases of COVID-19 continue to decline.
