Santa Maria Police have a teen in custody they believe was involved in a gang-related shooting. The shooting happened on Saturday night March 12. That’s when a man told police that he and his pregnant wife were driving in the area of Fesler St. and N. Benwiley Avenue when his wife was hit by gunfire. She and the baby are expected to survive. Investigators say the couple was caught in the cross-fire of two rival gangs. 18-year-old Irvin Gabino-Perez was arrested on Tuesday. The investigation is ongoing.
