A man suspected of a fatal shooting and a stabbing is behind bars this morning. San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s deputies answered a call about a shooting on Goldie Lane in Creston at around 7:30 a.m… When they arrived, they found a male victim with a gunshot wound. He would die a short time later. Then, just before 1 p.m., Paso Robles police responded to a report of a stabbing on Alamo Creek. Officers caught up with 43-year-old Cruz Gomez of Bakersfield. According to KSBY, he was found trying to hide in a hot tub. He was taken into custody and booked into County Jail.
