The Los Osos woman convicted of driving drunk and hitting and killing a Cal Poly student in 2017 is back behind bars. Gianna Brencola was 17 when she was sentenced to seven years in state prison. According to the San Luis Obispo County D.A.’s Office, she was arrested in Morro Bay in October 2021 after hitting several cars. Her blood alcohol concentration at the time of her arrest was reportedly 0.32, nearly three times the legal limit.
