More than 200 protesters took to the streets of downtown San Luis Obispo yesterday. The protest followed news of a leaked document that showed the U.S. Supreme Court may be on the verge of striking down Roe v Wade, a law that protected a woman’s right to an abortion. Over the past couple of days, similar protests have been held from coast to coast. According to KSBY, more than 20 states have legislation in place to outlaw abortion if Roe v. Wade is overturned. Governor and other legislators are proposing an amendment to the state’s constitution guaranteeing a woman’s right to choose.
