No Tents In SLO Public Parks

The San Luis Obispo City Council has approved an ordinance that bans the use of tents in city parks. According to KSBY, the ordinance simply clarifies city rules already in place. Last week’s 3-2 vote was in contrast to some residents who felt the ordinance was a way to purge the homeless from public spaces. City officials say it simply clarifies what the city has already been doing. City officials plan to educate the public as a first line of enforcement.
