The Kristin Smart Murder trial is scheduled to start next week. The trial was moved to Monterey County after it was determined, Paul Flores and his father Ruben would not be able to receive a fair trial in San Luis Obispo County. Paul is accused of murdering 19-year-old Kristin Smart following a party in 1996. According to the Tribune, no hearings or conferences related to the trial in Monterey County have been scheduled. The change of venue could cause the trial to be be delayed for months.
