San Luis Obispo Police say a man is in custody after he allegedly tried to abduct a woman crossing the street. According to police, witnesses saw William Francis be aggressive towards a woman in a crosswalk downtown. A concerned passerby reportedly intervened. That gave the woman a chance to escape into a nearby car. While police were arresting Francis, he allegedly assaulted the officers. He was booked into County Jail with bail set at 500,000 dollars.
