There are several races from Tuesday’s Primary election that still need to be confirmed and certified before winners can be declared. The glaring number is the low voter turnout, despite efforts to make voting as simple as possible. Before election day, voter response was predicted to be less than 30-percent statewide. Yesterday, Santa Barbara County reported a voter turnout of just over 31 percent. According to KSBY San Luis Obispo County voter numbers are still being worked out.
