Atascadero Police say a domestic violence suspect was arrested over the weekend. It started Sunday night at around 7:30 in the parking lot of Motel 6. Officers responded to a report of a man striking a car with a machete. When they arrived, witnesses described the man and his vehicle. Police caught up with him a short time later getting on the northbound 101. 60-year-old Rigoberto Perez got as far as Templeton before spike strips stopped his escape. He was taken into custody and booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail.
