Cal Fire SLO firefighters were called out to a brush fire near the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport. Fire crews responded to a call about the fire at around 5 o’clock yesterday. When they arrived at the Davenport Creek Road scene, they were greeted by flames moving at a moderate rate, threatening structures in the area and forcing some people to be evacuated from their homes. Crews had the flames under control in less than an hour. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
