Longtime Central Coast Broadcaster and journalist King Harris has passed away. King unexpectedly collapsed at his home in Arroyo Grande last night. Paramedics were unable to revive him. He started his career on the Central Coast as a news anchor at KEYT in 1980. He taught journalism at Cal
Poly for two years, before becoming the news director at KVEC. He also had stints at KCOY, was the managing editor at New Times and returned to KVEC in 2007 as the morning news anchor until he retired in 2015. King Harris was 75.
