A Grover Beach resident is facing a 1,000 dollar fine after being caught with illegal fireworks. Police say they confiscated the fireworks and cited the resident. Last year, city officials amended their fireworks ordinance allowing only safe and sane fireworks on the Fourth of July between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m…. The city has also joined several other Central Coast communities in the use of drone technology to locate users of illegal fireworks.
