Last month Governor Gavin Newsom signed a new 308 Billion dollar state budget and some of the money is headed to San Luis Obispo County. The budget includes $1 million for “badly needed renovations” at the aging Cayucos Veterans Memorial Building. Another 1.5 million dollars will go toward the purchase of coastal land between Cayucos and Morro Bay, creating “a new open space preserve for hiking and other low impact recreation.
