CHP officers say they never have a dull day. Sunday morning proved that statement true when the CHP answered several 911 calls about someone rolling a casket on a wheeled stand along the southbound lanes of the 101 near the Santa Rosa exit Sunday morning. According to officials, when officers caught up with the casket, they talked with the person pushing it down the highway and discovered the unidentified transient person had discovered the casket at a construction site. The officer involved had to make sure it was empty before advising the person to roll it off the highway. Authorities say there have been no reports of a stolen casket anywhere in San Luis Obispo.
