Cal Fire SLO Firefighters rescued a stranded hiker yesterday. At around 11 a.m. a rescue crew responded to Pirates Cove near Avila Beach. Officials say the man made the climb down to the ocean but was unable to complete the climb back up. Crews helped him back down to the water, where he caught a boat ride with the Harbor Patrol back to Avila Beach. No injuries were reported.
