San Luis Obispo County school districts are taking steps to help keep kids safe at school. According to KSBY, a plan to install chain link fencing has been in the works at Del Mar Elementary School. The plan was put into high gear following the shooting in Uvalde Texas. San Luis Coastal Unified School District plans to put a measure on the November ballot that would fund more safety measures at more schools. meanwhile, Lucia Mar School District has started installing fencing at schools that don’t already have one.
