Testimony in the Kristin Smart murder trial resumed yesterday. The court heard from a developer of Ruben Flores’ home, his former roommate, and a neighbor. The developer testified that his construction did not find any remains during the construction of a deck at Ruben Flores’ Arroyo Grande home. Jurors also heard from a roommate, who lived in the house for a decade. He testified that he overheard Flore refer to Kristin Smart as an expletive slut. He also said Flores became angry when when he tried to store a couple of 55-gallon drums under the deck. A neighbor also testified about activity at Flores’ home following an FBI search on February 5, 2020. Testimony continues this morning.
