California legislators voted yesterday to keep the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant operating five years beyond it’s scheduled shutdown in 2025. PG&E will keep the plant running through 2030. Supporters say Diablo Canyon plays an important role in California’s plan to transition to reliable, carbon-free energy.
