A drunk driver was arrested earlier this week after leading officers on a pursuit through Orcutt. CHP officials say a 38-year-old woman was spotted “recklessly” driving her purple Jeep Tuesday afternoon. She drove past two CHP officers who were recovering a gun from the southbound side of the highway north of Santa Maria Way. They began to chase her. The pursuit eventually ended off Highway 101 near the intersection with Highway 166 in Santa Maria.
