The City of Morro Bay has started a search for a new police chief. Officials announced that Chief Joseph “Jody” Cox will be retiring at the end of the year. Chief Cox has been with the department for 10 years, and served as chief for the past four years. Chief Cox called the years leading the Morro Bay P.D. an absolute honor and privilege.
