Law enforcement agencies nationwide are struggling to find qualified applicants. That struggle includes agencies on the Central Coast. According to KSBY, Grover Beach, and Paso Robles Police Department, and San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office are trying to fill several positions. And some are paying to train the right candidates. Some believe the drop in applications could be attributed to recent negative attention law enforcement has received and a growing number of jobs offering work-from-home options.
