Grant funding will help local CHP offices increase patrols across San Luis Obispo County. Officials say extra officers will be deployed along Highways 101, 41, and 46 on busy days. The extra enforcement will happen on days with high traffic volume on freeways and highways across SLO County, including holidays. Officers will be looking for signs that someone may be driving under the influence.
