Santa Maria City leaders held their annual “State of the City” Address yesterday. A focus was put on the city’s continued growth and housing and a current building boom to handle it. They also discussed an uptick in crime and a possible downturn in the economy. Overall, most were pleased with the current state of the largest city in Santa Barbara county and were cautiously optimistic about the future.
