Paso Robles Mayor Steve Martin currently has 56.8 percent of the vote to retain his seat. Challenger Michael Rivera has 43.1 percent. According to the Tribune, Carla Wixom holds her lead in the Morro Bay mayoral election. In Arroyo Grande, incumbent mayor Caren Ray Russom has 68 percent of the vote. The race for Grover Beach mayor results shows Karen Bright with 59% of the vote and Stacy A. Korsgaden with 40%. Several incumbent mayors ran unopposed in this election — Atascadero Mayor Heather L. Moreno, Pismo Beach Mayor Ed Waage, and Guadalupe Mayor Ariston Julian. Morro Bay City Councilmember Dawn Addis held a strong lead in the District 30 State Assembly race. San Luis Obispo County District 2 supervisor Bruce Gibson had an early lead over his challenger Bruce Jones as the polls closed last night. mail-in ballots still need to be counted.
