There was a slight delay in the final launch of an Atlas V rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base this morning. But it did leave the launch pad at 1:49 a.m… The rocket’s mission can now start the delivery of two weather satellites into the Earth’s orbit. Atlas V rockets will still be launched from Cape Canaveral over the next few years. Vandenberg will be transitioning to the new Vulcan Centaur rocket.
