A Hazmat situation Near Orcutt forced several evacuations yesterday afternoon. Just before 1:30, Santa Barbara County Fire, Sheriff’s deputies, and a hazmat team responded to a report of a produce truck leaking hydrogen sulfide on Telephone Road. Authorities began evacuations in the area. Those evacuations were canceled after crews determined the gas leak levels were not dangerous.
