A piece of Lompoc history is getting a face lift and a new location. Since the 1950s the Hi! Let’s Eat sign could be found at the corner of Oceano Avenue and E Street, once the home of the Hi Restaurant. The Hi! Let’s Eat sign was taken down more than five years ago and designated an historic sign. According to KSBY, the fully restored sign will find a new life outside American Host Restaurant on North I Street. An unveiling is planned for Friday, December 9 at 5 p.m.
