Opening ceremonies for the International Surfing Association Para Surfing Championships kicked off a week of surfing events in Pismo Beach yesterday. Officials say the competitions will go on, rain or shine this week. It’s the second year in a row that Pismo Beach has been the site of the world championship for surfers with disabilities. The first round of competition is today and will last all week with closing ceremonies on Sunday.
