Caltrans closed State Route 1 over the weekend. The closure was due to rock and mud slides between Ragged Point in San Luis Obispo and at Mud Creek in Monterey County. It’s not clear when the road will be reopened. Caltrans recommends travelers use northbound Highway 101. An update on State Route 1 is expected from Caltrans officials later this morning.
