A Paso Robles woman convicted of hitting a CHP officer while under the influence of methamphetamine has been granted parole. Authorities say 35-year-old Kaylee Weisenberg crashed into CHP officer Brett Oswald while he was attending to a disabled vehicle. She was convicted of second-degree murder and sentenced to 15 years to life in prison. Last week she was granted parole suitability. County D.A. Dan Dow disagrees with the Parole Board’s decision and plans to urge Governor Gavin Newsom to repeal it.
