The Santa Barbara County Fire Department is transitioning from High Fire season to a Winter Preparedness. That means a return of agricultural, hazard reduction and residential burn day permits. Only permit holders will be allowed to ignite burn piles on officially designated burn days. The permits only apply to burn piles and not standing vegitation.
