The San Luis Obispo County Clerk-Recorder’s Office is back to counting votes this morning. A re-count of votes for the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors District 2 seat was requested on December 12th, five days after the results were certified and sent to the California Secretary of State’s Office. The request was made on behalf of the campaign of Dr. Bruce Jones, who lost the election to Bruce Gibson by 13 votes. A manual recount could cost more than 82,000 dollars. Paid by San Miguel resident Darcia Stebbens, who made the request.
