San Luis Obispo Police say a man attempted “suicide by cop” last week. At around 3:20 Friday afternoon, officers responded to a report of a man sitting in the intersection of Higuera and Broad Streets. He was struck by a car while in the intersection. Officials say he was uncooperative when Crisis Intervention officers arrived. When he mentioned he had a weapon, officers used less lethal tools to take the 44-year-old into custody.
