California Highway Patrol investigators have identified the victim of last week’s fatal accident. It happened Friday night at around 8:15 in the southbound lanes of Highway 101, just north of highway 46 in Paso Robles. Officials say 62-year-old Nicholas Schaefer was struck twice and killed when he tried to cross the highway. Authorities say the drivers of both cars were not injured or under the influence of drugs or alcohol. No arrests have been made.
