Grover Beach Police have identified one of the men struck and killed by an Amtrak train last month. The San Luis Obispo County Coroner’s Office says Arroyo Grande resident 55-year-old Ronald Gupton was the first of two men killed in separate incidents after being struck by a train on December 5th. Using surveillance video, investigators determined Gupton stepped off the platform and onto the tracks to retrieve something as the train approached. The incident is being called an accident. The second fatal train collision is still under investigation.
