Cal Trans expects to reopen Highway 1 today, Temporarily. Crews were able to clean up a number of rock slides north of Ragged Point. If an assesment this morning proves favorable, the highway will reopen between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m… Officials say the opening is timed to take advantage of a break in the weather. After 5 this evening, officials expect Highway 1 to be closed again for the next 10 days. meanwhile, Highway 154 in Santa Barbara County has also been reopened following the clean up of several rocks and debris slides.
